First there was the “small” TYPHOON body kit; now here comes the “big” TYPHOON wide body kit for the BMW X6 M. Thanks to optimised air flow and up to 15 % more cooling, the G-POWER body kit clears the way for an increase in the base output of the 4.4 l V8 bi-turbo power unit of 170 hp to no less than 725 hp.

The G-POWER X6 M TYPHOON wide body kit is produced in OEM quality and features muscular flared wheel arches plus distinctive skirts and spoilers on the front and rear trimmed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. The body kit is made from PU RIM and has been developed by G-POWER designers using state-of-the-art CAD technology. Thus the base vehicle was fully digitised in-house with a 3D scanner.

The elegant sweep of the flared G-POWER wheel arches front and rear – which, of course, come with perfectly matched inner panels – give the X6 M seven centimetres more width, making room for extra-wide 23-inch wheels and tyres. The top-end version comes with G-POWER SILVERSTONE EDITION forged wheels developed specifically for the TYPHOON, with 11Jx23 format up front and 12Jx23 on the rear. Each corner sports 315/25 ZR 23 high-performance rubber from development partner Michelin, delivering optimum traction and sporty handling that is further refined by the G-POWER coilover suspension and a 30 mm lower ride height. The separate and independently adjustable rebound- and compression damping allows for an individual suspension setup that matches with the TYPHOON’S wheel / tyre combination and the output enhancement.

Together with the flared wheel arches, the face of the exclusive SUV is distinguished largely by the G-POWER TYPHOON front skirt designed entirely in-house. The large air intakes not only improve overtaking prestige, they also guarantee optimum cooling of the engine and front brakes. Moreover, design refinements succeeded in reducing aerodynamic lift on the front axle.

The carbon fiber G-POWER VENTURI hood also contributes to the distinctive look of the G-POWER X6 M TYPHOON. The starting point for the development of the G-POWER VENTURI hood was the technical necessity to remove heat from the engine compartment of the uprated engines as quickly as possible. Otherwise a loss of performance can happen, since the ECU (electronic control unite) makes use of diagrams with reduced degrees of ignition when a fixed temperature limit is reached, in order to safeguard the engine.

The "DYNAMIC VENTING" Technology of the G-POWER VENTURI hood vents the engine compartment dynamically, allowing the otherwise untapped performance potential to be achieved with no additional thermal stress. Performance enhancement can not be supported more efficiently.

Further on the sills on the TYPHOON serve not only as aerodynamically efficient transitions between the front and rear flares, they also house five LED units on each side that illuminate the ground on each side of the vehicle when activated either by remote control or by pulling the door handle.

Like the front section, the rear skirt on the TYPHOON is conceived to completely replace the production-standard bumper. The diffuser has an imposing impact on the rear view, as do the two distinctive 114 mm tailpipes on the G-POWER stainless steel sports silencer. Together with the two spoilers fixed to the rear hatch, a roof spoiler and a multi piece rear spoiler with Carbon wing, minimal lift has been achieved at the rear axle, too. A further example of the detailed refinements in the design of the G-POWER TYPHOON Wide Version for the BMW X6 M is the four-part underbody panelling.

In keeping with the dynamic look, G-POWER offers a mighty power unit for the BMW X6 M. Thanks to the enlarged air intakes in the front skirt and the outlet vents in the bonnet, there is an improved flow of cooling air to the radiator and oil cooler at the front of the vehicle, increasing cooling performance by around 15%. This establishes the basis for a thermally balanced performance increase achieved by electronic optimisation developed by G-POWER and involving changes to the engine mapping including removal of the top speed limiter. On the exhaust side, a fully stainless steel G-POWER system delivers the necessary reduction in exhaust back pressure featuring a set of sport catalytic converters and most important a set of flow optimized G-POWER exhaust manifolds connecting the turbochargers. In addition, optimised connection pipes have also been installed between the turbochargers and the cylinder heads to minimise pressure and thermodynamic losses. The outcome is an additional 170 hp, taking the overall output to an impressive 725 hp at 6,000 r/min and 890 Nm of torque at 1,500 r/min. The maximum torque is electronically limited. In combination with a reinforcement of the standard BMW X6 M automatic transmission a torque maximum of 1000 Nm can be provided.

The enormous potential of the G-POWER modified BMW V8 bi-turbo power unit endows the X5 M with on-the-road performance that catapults it into the elite group at the very top of this vehicle class. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h lasts only 4.2 seconds, with the top speed at over 300 km/h. Braking is done with the G-POWER ceramic brakes on the front and rear axle, which provide low-weight and reliable high-performance braking. „Fade“ is therefore a foreign word for the 6-piston brake calipers in front which bite on 396 mm rotors and the 4-piston calipers at the rear axle which clamp on 380 mm rotors.

G-POWER has refined the interior of the BMW X5 M with exclusive accessories like an ergonomically designed sports steering wheel and a G-POWER speedometer. Further preferences can be fulfilled with exclusive interiors in all shades of leather and Alcantara.

G-power unveiled the new Typhoon bodykit for all current BMW X5 facelift models. The engine has a strong G-POWER SK III supercharger thar propels the BMW X5 with 4.8l engine to a maximum speed of 275 km/h.

Brawny wing extensions and strikingly formed front- and rear skirts qualified for maximum aerodynamic efficiency, mark the appearance of the G-POWER TYPHOON body kit. The body alteration in OEM-quality made of PU-rim has been developed by the G-POWER designers by using state-of-the-art CAD technology. Therefore, the basic car has been entirely digitalised with a 3D-scanner on the own company premises.

The elegantly formed G-POWER wing extensions at the front- and back axle which are naturally delivered with a perfectly matching inner wing extend the X5 by seven centimetres. They make room for extra-broad 23“ wheels and tyres. The G-POWER SILVERSTONE EDITION forged wheels in the dimensions 11Jx23 at the front and 12Jx23 at the back were especially designed for the TYPHOON body kit and are the largest available model. Four high-performance tyres measuring 315/25 ZR 23 by the development partner Michelin render optimal traction and sporty handling.

In combination with the extended wings, especially the absolute independently styled G-POWER TYPHOON front skirt, the facial expression of the exclusive SUV is formed. The large air inlets do not only improve the overtaking prestige, they also guarantee an optimised cooling of the engine and the front brakes. Moreover, due to its elaborate shaping, the aerodynamic lifting forces at the front axle could be reduced.

Another factor in the balanced look of the X6 TYPHOON S is the G-POWER bonnet made entirely from carbon-fibre. Equipped with a central Venturi-effect engine bay vent for cooling while in motion and two lateral ABS grilles for stationary ventilation, it ensures improved dissipation from the engine compartment of hot air.

The rear skirt of the TYPHOON body kit has been designed like the front skirt and therefore entirely replaces the serial bumpers. Apart from the two striking end pipes of the G-POWER stainless steel sport end muffler, the diffuser also marks the rear appearance. And in combination with the spoiler which is attached to the boot lid and visually prolongs the roof line, the lifting forces at the rear axle are also minimised.

The TYPHOON side skirts do not only provide an aerodynamically favourable transition between the extensions: on their bottom side five LED units which can be activated by remote control or by pulling a handle at the door, illuminate the ground at both sides of the car. At the upper side, stainless steel inserts with an also blue illuminated G-POWER logo are integrated.

Another proof for the elaborate construction of the G-POWER TYPHOON body kit for the BMW X5 is the four-part underbody cladding.

Matching the dynamic appearance, G-POWER offers an extremely strong motorisation for the BMW X5 xDrive48i. In co-operation with ASA, the world-wide renowned developer and OEM-supplier of high-tech superchargers, a mechanic charging system for the eight-cylinder four-valve engine has been created.

The “Sporty Drive” technology, developed by G-POWER for the G-POWER supercharger systems provides an aggressive high revving under full load and progressive power delivery right up to the rev limiter. In addition to these features, the increased output of the V8 engine delivered by the G-POWER supercharger system also comes with a significant plus in mid-range torque.

The G-POWER SK III “Sporty Drive” supercharger system gives the 4.8 litre engine a performance increase of 170 hp / 125 kW to 525 hp / 386 kW at 6,100 r.p.m. and renders a torque increase of 475 Nm to 600 Nm at 5,300 r.p.m. This supercharger technology guarantees - in contrast to turbo engines – a perfect throttle response at any time. In order to achieve this performance, an ASA T1- 522 charger with radial centrifugal clutch is flanged to the engine with a CNC-milled, high-strength framework structure. The supercharger which is powered by a crankshaft via the multi-rib belt has an oil flow which is integrated into the engine oil circulation for lubrication. The boost pressure is 0.5 bar.

The two-part carbon intake air duct with large, aerodynamic transverse sections, a large-volume aluminium charge air cooling system in the front of the X5 and a G-POWER SPEEDFLOW high-performance exhaust system which is entirely made of stainless steel and includes racing headers, racing catalysts and end mufflers, form the peripheral equipment of the supercharged engine and moreover render an earthy sound which emphasises the acoustics of the eight-cylinder engine.

The enormous performance potential of the G-POWER SK III “Sporty Drive” supercharged engine in combination with the six-gear automatic transmission and the xDrive 4WD enables the SUV to render a driving behaviour which confirms it as a top player in its vehicle class. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h only takes 4,7 seconds. The maximum speed is 275 km/h.

The G-POWER X5 TYPHOON cockpit can be refined with exclusive accessories like an ergonomically formed sport steering wheel, a speedometer in TYPHOON design and sporty aluminium accessories. Further wishes can be fulfilled with exclusive interior equipments in all possible leather and ultra-suede colours.

BMW X6 owners will soon have another kit from LUMMA Design to choose from when looking to upgrade their SUV: the soon to be released CLR X 650 package. The body kit comes with a new front spoiler, rear bumper, side skirts, bonnet and rear spoiler, as well as various carbon fiber applications for the rear, mirror covers, front sections and headlamps.

A particular focus is the vehicle’s interior, which includes four individual Recaro sports seats, two-tone leather upholstery in beige and black, Alcantara coverings, ergonomically shaped sports steering wheel (which includes an airbag), color-coordinated instruments and aluminum pedals with anti-slip rubber coating.

Performance wise, LUMMA uses a D-Box to boost the power of the diesel engine from 286 hp/580 Nm to 340 hp/670 Nm. The vehicle also receives a LUMMA accelerator pedal power module and sports exhaust system with four matt black X6M-style tailpipes.

The CLR X 650 is fitted with a set of 22-inch wheels with high-performance tires (295/30 front, 335/25 rear). LUMMA has also lowered the BMW X6 by 40 millimeters to improve the ride and handling. The LUMMA Design CLR X 650 will be presented in a two-tone exterior finish at the Geneva Motor Show (March 3-13, 2011).

The first X3 proved a great success for BMW. The second generation, which optically and technically fits in between the X1 and the X5, will definitely follow in the steps of its predecessor. With the suspension components from Eibach, available through authorised dealers, the X3 impresses on short trips on gentle terrain as well as when driving on sporty country roads or on smooth motorways.

The Eibach Pro-Kit Performance Springs suit the new BMW X3 perfectly: they underline the sporty aspirations of the Bavarian SUV without losing the comfort which passengers expect from its class. Furthermore they also lower the vehicle’s centre of gravity, making the X3 even more dynamic both with regards to its appearance and its handling.

The icing on the cake are the Eibach Pro-Spacer Wheel Spacer, which sharpen the outfit of the X3 further.

All Eibach suspension components, which are available through authorised dealers, are provided with a high-quality corrosion protection and are TÜV-certified.

Hamann have released details of their BMW X5 M upgrade called the Flash Evo M.

The front spoiler is fitted with either two or four integrated LED daytime running lights and large air intakes. Side sill bars connect to larger fender extensions of the X5 M, with two central tailpipes and sports exhaust system being integrated into the diffuser. The carbon roof spoiler aids downforce while the exterior mirrors are styled in black carbon fibre.

Wheels sizes are available in 22 or 23 inch forged anodised alloy with matt black anodized spokes. By using progressively wound suspension springs, Hamann has lowered the center of gravity of the BMW X5 M by 30 mm.

HAMANN offers two performance improvement systems: The ECU is optimized by removing the factory-installed Vmax restriction of 250 km/h. Power is increased from 408 kW/555 hp and 680 Nm torque to 449 kW/610 hp and a torque of 780 Nm.

HAMANN also supplies the HM 670 sports kit. In addition to the optimization of the ECU, a rear sports muffler and catalyst replacement pipes is used. Between 1500 and 5650 RPM, the torque is increased to 950 Nm. According to the HAMANN, 493 kW/670 hp is available and can reach a top speed of 300 km/h.

HAMANN has developed a high-performance brake system, using 405 mm diameter brake discs in front and 340 mm diameter brake discs at the rear. 6-pot callipers provide the delay at the front axle, while 4-pot callipers do their work at the rear axle. Steal flex brake lines prevents fading during high load.

While interior seems over-styled, HAMANN provides two-coloured, quilted leather with decorative stitching and alcantara as interior options. An interior package is available with appliqué made of carbon fibre and a stainless steel sill plate with an illuminated HAMANN logo. The driver footrest is available in optional silver or black anodized aluminium. HAMANN floor mats and a trunk mat top off the luxurious appearance.

For more information about the HAMANN tuning programme, visit the web site www.HAMANN-MOTORSPORT.com .

Soon after the presentation of its BMW X5, MANSORY Switzerland AG, presents a new programme for the BMW X6 M.

The bodykit features a new front spoiler with bigger air intakes, a lightweight carbon-fiber bonnet with vents to improve air flow to the engine, a new rear skirt and rear diffuser, a rear spoiler lip and a roof spoiler. The wide-body wings add some girth to the X6 M - 70 mm at the front wheel arches and 80 mm at the back.

ECU-remapping and performance tuning also compliments the optical changes, which includes a power upgrade to 670 PS (493 kW) andraises torque to 950 Nm (same as on the Mansory X5 M) - up from the series' 555 PS (408 kW) and 680 Nm. The stainless-steel sport exhaust system with the quad-pipes is integrated into the rear diffuser along with a new exhaust manifold.

The 0 to 100 km/h sprint comes in 4.2 seconds (series: 4.7 seconds) and top speed on the electronic limiter is raised to 300 km/h (186 mph). The Mansory X6 M also comes with light-alloy 23-inch rims fitted with 315/25R23 tires. A sport suspension kit is added too with the ability to lower the X6 M up to 40 mm.

For the interior finish, Mansory offers a sport steering wheel and other options to choose from including a choice of a leather or Alcantara finish with wood, carbon or aluminium trim.

Further information about the exclusive refinement programme for the BMW X6 M can be found on the website www.mansory.ch

Hartge have released details of their new tuning program for the BMW X1. They have developed their balanced power-boosting products for the 1.8 and 2.0 liter engines of the X1.

The base engine of the 18d receives an upgrade which enables the engine to produce 169 hp (126 kW / 171 PS) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. This allows a manually-equipped sDrive18d to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds (an improvement of 1.5 seconds) and hit a top speed of 217 km/h (135 mph).

The Hartge X1 xDrive20d shown here hás a kit which allows the engine to produce an extra 32 hp (24 kW / 32 PS) and 65 Nm (48 lb-ft) of torque. The added power results in a 0 to 100 km/h time of 6.9 seconds (an improvement of 1.2 seconds) and a top speed of 229 km/h (142 mph).

Besides the performance packages, Hartage offers a stainless-steel sport exhaust system, lowering springs (which reduce ride height 30mm), and 20-inch 'Classic 2' wheels. Inside, customers can order a three-spoke leather steering wheel with aluminium emblem, aluminum pedals, and velour floor mats.

First there was the “small” TYPHOON body kit; now here comes the “big” TYPHOON wide body kit for the BMW X5 M. Thanks to optimised air flow and up to 15 % more cooling, the G-POWER body kit clears the way for an increase in the base output of the 4.4 l V8 bi-turbo power unit of 170 hp to no less than 725 hp. Muscular flared wheel arches plus distinctive skirts and spoilers on the front and rear trimmed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency define the look of the G-POWER X5 M TYPHOON. The body kit in original equipment quality made from PU RIM was developed by G-POWER designers using state-of-the-art CAD technology. The base vehicle was fully digitised in-house with a 3D scanner.

The elegant sweep of the flared G-POWER wheel arches front and rear – which, of course, come with perfectly matched inner panels – give the X5 M seven centimetres more width, making room for extra-wide 23-inch wheels and tyres. The top-end version comes with G-POWER SILVERSTONE RS forged wheels developed specifically for the TYPHOON, with 11Jx23 format up front and 12Jx23 on the rear. Each corner sports 315/25 ZR 23 high-performance rubber from development partner Michelin, delivering optimum traction and sporty handling that is further enhanced by the G-POWER sports suspension and a 30 mm lower ride height.

The sills on the TYPHOON serve not only as aerodynamically efficient transitions between the front and rear flares, they also house five LED units on each side that illuminate the ground on each side of the vehicle when activated either by remote control or by pulling the door handle. Along the upper surfaces, stainless steel inserts integrate a G-POWER logo also illuminated in blue.

Like the front section, the rear skirt on the TYPHOON is conceived to completely replace the production-standard bumper. The diffuser has an imposing impact on the rear view, as do the two distinctive 114 mm tailpipes on the G-POWER stainless steel sports silencer.

In keeping with the dynamic look, G-POWER offers a mighty power unit for the BMW X5 M. A fully stainless steel G-POWER system delivers the necessary reduction in exhaust back pressure featuring a set of sport catalytic converters and most important a set of flow optimized G-POWER exhaust manifolds connecting the turbochargers.

The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h lasts only 4.2 seconds, with the top speed at over 300 km/h.

G-POWER has refined the interior of the BMW X5 M with exclusive accessories like an ergonomically designed sports steering wheel, a G-POWER speedometer and fine carbon-fibre trim on the side panels, centre console and dashboard. Further preferences can be fulfilled with exclusive interiors in all shades of leather and Alcantara.
