KW Clubsport coilovers for the most popular BMW

The KW Clubsport coilovers are the convincing alternative for BMW fans who want to experience the full potential of their BMW on the race track and the road. By the KW technology that is also successfully in racing and the low maintenance and high-quality components, the two KW Clubsport variants are the perfect performance tool to win the time challenge. The used KW racing springs and KW high-performance dampers allow to optimally using the characteristics of sport tires and semi slicks tires on the race track. The coilover kits in stainless steel finish “inox-line” are separately adjustable in rebound and compression damping, depending on the version. The KW Clubsport suspension kits are available for all 3-series BMW from the E36 model series on and the latest BMW M5 (F10/F11). The KW Clubsport coilovers with German TÃœV certificate can also be driven on public roads with street tires. For BMW fans who also want to enjoy their classics such as BMW E9, BMW E21 and BMW E30 on the race track, KW also manufactures motor sport suspensions.

The height adjustable KW Clubsport coilover kits are available for numerous sports cars and compact sport cars to also use on public roads, depending on the version. Currently, the suspension kits are available for more than 180 different vehicle models; in the focus of KW are BMW 3-series models (E36, E46, E90 and F30) that convince with their impressive driving dynamics since many generations.

Control the border area with KW Technology
For all KW Clubsport coilovers we use race springs from the KW product range in combination with high performance dampers. With the damper setup developed for the use of semi-slick tires, KW Clubsport coilovers are not only at home at track days on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. “The setup possibilities of KW Clubsport kits with their separate adjustment technology in rebound and compression damping are basically like our KW competition racing suspensions”, said Johannes Wacker, Product Manager at KW. Via the rebound adjustment wheel, the rebound damping of Clubsport 2-way and 3-way coilovers can be adjusted with 16 precise clicks, to reduce movements of the body. At high speeds, the steering precision and handling is improved significantly. Independently, the KW multi way valve at the bottom of the damper housing of the KW Clubsport 2-way coilover suspension allows adjusting the compression damping. The damping force can be adjusted manually in twelve click steps at the KW Clubsport 2-way, so that no rolling motions occur during springing. With the compression level, the driving behaviour can be influenced significantly. With the KW Clubsport 3-way coilover suspension, the used racing damper with its compact reservoir allows to adjust the compression level in high- and low-speed range independently. With up to 14 steps, the compression damping for the high-speed range can be adjusted. The low-speed damping force adjustment is configured with up to six clicks. A harder low-speed setting causes at the front axle a more direct steering and acts against over steering on the rear axle, without to negatively affecting the deflection behaviour of the high-speed damping range when driving fast over bumps and curbs. So the KW 3-way Clubsport coilover provides numerous adjustment possibilities, for example to consider the body stiffness when using a roll cage.

KW Clubsport coilovers with adjustable top mounts
The KW Clubsport coilovers are also offered with adjustable top mounts. KW Clubsport 2-way coilovers are available with and without adjustable top mounts for the BMW E36 models (compact, coupe, convertible, sedan and even touring) and the “civil” versions of the BMW E46. For the BMW models BMW M3, M3 CSL (E46 series) and the 3-series of the E9x series including M3-models (coupe, convertible and sedan) and the KW Clubsport 3-way coilovers, the adjustable KW top mounts are always part of the delivery content. The top mounts allow adjusting the camber that the tires always have an optimum contact area when driving curves. “With the street approval of the KW Clubsport coilovers”, said Johannes Wacker, “after a successful track day, the setup can easily be changed to a more comfortable setting and afterwards the driver can drive home with the same car.” The continuous lowering of all KW Clubsport coilovers is made at the dirt-resistant trapezoid thread directly at the stainless steel strut.

Depending on the model, a lowering of up to 80 mm is possible. In addition, KW also manufactures custom suspension solutions for legendary BMW such as the BMW 3.0 CSL (BMW E9 series), the BMW E30 M3 and other BMW classics for road and racing use.
