Occupant protection at side impact remains
In contrast to other retrofit sets for wing doors, the LSD door fittings “Made in Germany” convince everyone through their sophisticated technology and the highest possible quality standard. In addition, one of the Federal Motor Transport Authority’s accredited laboratory confirmed through a side-crash test that the LSD-solution patented in Germany is as secure as standard doors. This means, that the occupant safety in case of a side impact, the LSD hinge system is guaranteed and compliant with Directive 96/27/EC. LSD makes assembly fast and easy without welding and paint work, and the hinges’ perfect fit is convincing, thanks to the three-dimensional adjustments. The LSD door fittings are attached to the original mounting points of the dismantled original hinges. The installation of these hinges opens the otherwise unchanged original door first outward and then gently glide the door upward. Adjustable, mechanical stops prevent the doors from opening too far or, when open, prevent the door from falling inwards or downwards. The door can also be closed with just a simple touch of the hand. The LSD wing doors lend any car a spectacular look and are the ideal solution for all fans of unusual tuning and show cars. LSD door fittings are available from LSD and at specialized dealerships.
